Challenge

For years, the team at Kebur had to rely on paper trails to keep track of stock. Regularly taking orders over the phone, online and face to face, they needed a way to consolidate stock information so it was easy to access, and always up to date.

The team also wanted to ensure that customer service levels were consistently excellent - communication has always been a vital part of how the Kebur team retain customers, and bring in new ones. Another area of growth for the business was boosting online sales, but, previously the team had to update their EPOS system and their ecommerce website separately, doubling the amount of work required to keep their platforms up to date, and running the risk of manual errors.

CSY worked with Kebur to implement stock management and customer loyalty features, as well as integrating their website and embedding payments into their Vector EPOS system - all with the aim of improving their stock visibility, customer service levels and ecommerce management.

Stock information is now synced

Jo Holtom commented, “Our stock levels are now live so it means that our customers can be confident in what they’re ordering online. It also means we’ve got a single repository of information about our stock which also links directly with our customer-facing website.”

In the last few years, the team at Kebur have also implemented the delivery module as part of their CSY Vector EPOS system, making it simpler to identify the status of deliveries for customers.

“When customers call we can see really easily where deliveries are in the system and it also makes it much easier for our colleagues to do their jobs - if they can access that information quickly it reduces frustrations that can happen if you’ve not got the tools you need to do your job.”

Customer service is elevated

“We brought in the loyalty scheme a few years ago which is really popular with our trade customers. So they’re now redeeming their loyalty points and feeling the benefits of bringing their business here which is great and we’re also considering rolling it out to other customers.”

The Kebur team were also early adopters of CSYPay powered by ClearAccept and have since found that their customers appreciate the use of the Pay By Link function. This allows customers to securely pay for larger value orders - large quantities of paving for example - without having to share sensitive information over the phone.

Jo Holtom commented, “With Pay By Link, we can check that the money’s gone through ourselves, which is much quicker than BACs for example. Plus, it gives customers another way to pay, and it’s more secure for us and for them.”

Ecommerce site management made simple

Following their ecommerce integration with the CSY system, the Kebur team have now been able to simplify the way they manage their product descriptions, images and stock information on their customer-facing website. With accurate syncing of all of this data, it means no more manual data entry, and less room for error.

Plus they’ve taken advantage of key features to bolster online sales - Jo Holtom added, “In terms of ecommerce, we’ve been looking at the upsell and cross sell features on product pages to ensure customers have everything they need in their basket before they checkout…once it’s set up, you can forget about it and it does what it needs to do”.
