“We can’t believe the whole system was up and running in just three weeks!”

In September, Adrian White Building Supplies Limited purchased Wyevale Garden Centre in Oxford. The garden centre is the perfect addition to the company as AWBS already have a well establish landscape and building company supplying fencing, paving, sleepers and artificial turf, along with their installation service for their landscape products. Oxford Garden Centre is located in South Hinksey, on the same site as the AWBS head office, and offers a great range of plants, fertilisers, gardening accessories and tools. They have also opened a café where visitors can relax while shopping with a hot drink and a great choice of food.

When CSY got in contact with AWBS, we knew they had many years’ experience with running a builders merchant, we wanted to help them every step of the way with the EPOS side of the garden centre. “We have been operating a specialised builder’s merchant system in our other depots,” said Wyatt Tait. “After the CSY demonstration it became apparent that our existing system had many down falls for a garden centre, unable to deal with vouchers, loyalty cards and we had no in built credit card processing.”

With AWBS only purchasing the garden centre on the 26th of September, that only left us a three week window to do a data migration, installation and training. “CSY gave us the reassurance that the system could be installed and operating within a three-week window and this was achieved as promised.” To make sure all CSY’s installations go as smooth as possible, we have a dedicated project manager. “Dave has been great, has handled all my issues efficiently and provided us with additional training on site,” added Wyatt. One big process of installing our system was the data migration; we luckily have a data conversion procedure that works for us. As this is our 9th successful migrations from a Wyevale centre we know this process guarantees the go-live procedure is trouble-free and simple. “The installation of the system was smooth and as promised with very little disruption,” said Wyatt. “We were also all very impressed with how seamless the data migration process was.”

The speed of processing sales is amazing during our busy periods at the garden centre. Most importantly to us, it doesn’t take up valuable space on our till areas and shows our customers that we are up-to-date with technology.”
