Based in Hertfordshire, IPS Fencing has been open since 1963 and initially made wooden seed trays, packing cases and wooden pallets. IPS has gone continued to grow and now don’t manufacture on site but specialising in timber garden products like sheds, fencing, summerhouses and much more.

Currently, IPS operates with a team of 8 staff members plus 4 subcontractors. Despite the decision not to expand to other sites, the company operates at maximum capacity on its existing premises. “Locally we are known for supplying good quality products at fair prices, and we provide a unique customer service with our installation team.”

“In 2021, we replaced our old EPOS system with CSY’s EPOS system. Our previous system did not provide enough information and reports. The stock was deducted at the point of order, so we did not have immediate access to the information during busy periods. For instance, if we needed to borrow some sold stock and we knew we had an upcoming delivery, we had to manually count the product and then go through the orders to see if borrowing the stock was feasible. Thanks to Vector from CSY, all this information is readily available to us, even during busy and stressful times, so we can maximize our sales.”

Every month at CSY we provide our customers with a 2-day EPOS training course, “yes, we have attended the training session at CSY’s Nottingham office. We found the training days very useful, and we haven’t had to call CSY’s helpdesk very much since attending. It took our till staff some time to adjust to switching EPOS systems, but with CSY’s training and support, they all love it.”
